Every time I tell myself I can't possibly take in one more sick kitten, another one shows up needing help. Right now, several of our foster kittens are facing serious medical challenges, and we are once again asking for help from the amazing village that has always stood beside us. Penelope and Olive have been battling severe illness for over a month. After extensive testing, they were diagnosed with both Clostridium and Campylobacter. They have already completed a special compounded medication that was expensive but necessary. Unfortunately, despite treatment, they continue to struggle with severe abdominal swelling and ongoing symptoms. Their veterinarian now recommends another visit along with a comprehensive diarrhea panel to determine what is still causing them so much discomfort.


As if that wasn't enough, we recently took in two feral orange kittens who desperately needed help. Both are suffering from severe upper respiratory infections and require veterinary care, medications, and supportive treatment to give them a chance at a healthy future. Rescue is never just one kitten. It is bottle feedings at midnight, medications before work, cleaning endless messes, and saying yes when it would be easier to say no. It is also expensive, and lately the medical bills have been arriving faster than donations.
