Some people make the world a better place simply by being in it. For me, Karolina is one of those people.

Karolina is one of the most extraordinary individuals I have ever had the privilege to know. She is kind, compassionate, resilient, and always the first person to offer help when someone is in need. Together with her husband, Marcin, she has built a warm and welcoming Polish home in New York City—a home filled with love, generosity, and kindness. She is also the devoted mother of five-year-old Mia, the kind of mother every child deserves and every parent admires.

Today, Karolina is facing the greatest challenge of her life.

Since the fall of 2023, she has been fighting Stage IV HER2-positive breast cancer. What began as a devastating diagnosis became an ongoing battle as the disease spread throughout her body. Through every setback, Karolina has met fear and uncertainty with remarkable courage, grace, and determination.

Over the past two and a half years, she has endured chemotherapy, immunotherapy, countless scans, treatments, and difficult decisions. Earlier this year, there was reason to celebrate as her treatment showed results that brought renewed hope. But cancer is relentless. In recent months, the disease has progressed again, with new lesions discovered in her brain and spine.

Soon, Karolina will undergo Gamma Knife radiosurgery as part of the next stage of her treatment. She has also begun a new therapy regimen, continuing her fight with the same strength and determination that have carried her through every challenge so far.

No one should have to face a battle like this alone.

If you know Karolina, you know the light she brings into the lives of others. You know her warmth, her generosity, her unwavering support for family and friends. She has spent years lifting people up, offering encouragement, and making others feel seen, valued, and loved.

Now it is our turn to stand beside her.

Niektórzy ludzie czynią świat lepszym miejscem samą swoją obecnością. Dla mnie Karolina jest jedną z tych osób.

Karolina jest życzliwa, pełna współczucia, niezwykle silna i zawsze jako pierwsza oferuje pomoc, gdy ktoś jej potrzebuje. Razem ze swoim mężem, Marcinem, stworzyła ciepły i gościnny polski dom w Nowym Jorku — dom pełen miłości, hojności i dobroci. Jest także oddaną mamą pięcioletniej Mii; taką mamą, na jaką zasługuje każde dziecko i którą podziwia każdy rodzic.

Dziś Karolina mierzy się z największym wyzwaniem swojego życia.

Od jesieni 2023 roku walczy z rakiem piersi HER2-dodatnim w IV stadium. To, co zaczęło się od druzgocącej diagnozy, przerodziło się w nieustanną walkę, gdy choroba rozprzestrzeniła się po całym jej organizmie. Pomimo wszystkich przeciwności Karolina stawia czoła lękowi i niepewności z niezwykłą odwagą, godnością i determinacją.

Przez ostatnie dwa i pół roku przeszła chemioterapię, immunoterapię, niezliczone badania, zabiegi i trudne decyzje. Na początku tego roku pojawił się powód do radości, gdy leczenie przyniosło wyjątkowo dobre rezultaty i dało nową nadzieję. Niestety rak nie odpuszcza. W ostatnich miesiącach choroba ponownie postąpiła, a nowe zmiany zostały wykryte w mózgu i kręgosłupie.

Wkrótce Karolina przejdzie radiochirurgię Gamma Knife jako część kolejnego etapu leczenia. Rozpoczęła również nowy schemat terapii, kontynuując walkę z tą samą siłą i determinacją, które pomagały jej pokonywać wszystkie dotychczasowe wyzwania.

Jednak nikt nie powinien mierzyć się z taką walką samotnie.

Jeśli znasz Karolinę, wiesz, jak wiele światła wnosi do życia innych ludzi. Znasz jej ciepło i niezachwiane wsparcie dla rodziny oraz przyjaciół. Przez lata dodawała innym sił, oferowała słowa otuchy i sprawiała, że ludzie czuli się zauważeni, docenieni i kochani.

Teraz przyszła kolej na nas, aby stanąć u jej boku.

Gdy Karolina przygotowuje się do kolejnego etapu leczenia, prosimy, abyście mieli ją w swoich myślach, modlitwach i sercach. Prosimy, udostępniajcie jej historię. Wyślijcie jej słowo wsparcia. Pokażcie jej i jej rodzinie, że otacza ich społeczność, która wierzy w jej siłę i towarzyszy jej na tej drodze.

Droga przed nią nie będzie łatwa, ale Karolina nigdy nie przestała walczyć. A mając nas wszystkich za sobą, nie będzie musiała walczyć sama.

Prosimy, dołączcie do nas we wspieraniu Karoliny, gdy kontynuuje tę pełną odwagi walkę.
