Some people make the world a better place simply by being in it. For me, Karolina is one of those people.

Karolina is one of the most extraordinary individuals I have ever had the privilege to know. She is kind, compassionate, resilient, and always the first person to offer help when someone is in need. Together with her husband, Marcin, she has built a warm and welcoming Polish home in New York City—a home filled with love, generosity, and kindness. She is also the devoted mother of five-year-old Mia, the kind of mother every child deserves and every parent admires.

Today, Karolina is facing the greatest challenge of her life.

Since the fall of 2023, she has been fighting Stage IV HER2-positive breast cancer. What began as a devastating diagnosis became an ongoing battle as the disease spread throughout her body. Through every setback, Karolina has met fear and uncertainty with remarkable courage, grace, and determination.

Over the past two and a half years, she has endured chemotherapy, immunotherapy, countless scans, treatments, and difficult decisions. Earlier this year, there was reason to celebrate as her treatment showed results that brought renewed hope. But cancer is relentless. In recent months, the disease has progressed again, with new lesions discovered in her brain and spine.

Soon, Karolina will undergo Gamma Knife radiosurgery as part of the next stage of her treatment. She has also begun a new therapy regimen, continuing her fight with the same strength and determination that have carried her through every challenge so far.

No one should have to face a battle like this alone.
